Online version of Pirates! Gold for SEGA Genesis. Pirates! Gold is a 1993 computer game, a sequel to Sid Meier's 1987 release, Sid Meier's Pirates!. MicroProse developed this 256-color version for MS-DOS, Macintosh, Mega Drive/Genesis, Amiga CD32 and Windows 3.x featuring a MIDI score and mouse support (in MS-DOS and Windows versions). Sea, land, and sea-to-land combat were done in real-time strategy. Sun sighting was not present in this version, and there were no special items. Online emulated version of Pirates! Gold was originally developed for the Sega Genesis known as the Mega Drive outside North America. It was a 16-bit fourth-generation home video game console developed and sold by Sega. The Genesis is Sega's third console and the successor to the Master System. Sega released it as the Mega Drive in Japan in 1988, and later as the Genesis in North America in 1989. In 1990, it was distributed as the Mega Drive by Virgin Mastertronic in Europe.
Designed by an R&D team supervised by Hideki Sato and Masami Ishikawa, the Genesis was adapted from Sega's System 16 arcade board, centered on a Motorola 68000 processor as the CPU, a Zilog Z80 as a sound controller, and a video system supporting hardware sprites, tiles, and scrolling. It plays a library of more than 900 games created by Sega and a wide array of third-party publishers delivered on ROM-based cartridges. Several add-ons were released, including a Power Base Converter to play Master System games. It was released in several different versions, some created by third parties.
Contributing to its success were its library of arcade game ports, the popularity of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog series, several popular sports franchises, and aggressive youth marketing that positioned it as the cool console for adolescents. 30.75 million first-party Genesis units were sold worldwide.

Tales of Pirates is a 3D Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game developed by the Chinese company MOLI. Tales of Pirates is published by IGG (Internet Gaming Gate), who have also published three other games, Voyage Century Online, WonderLand Online and Myth War Online. Several versions of the game are available for specific countries or regions such as an older version Pirate King Online.
Once an account is created, players are able to log in to a server and choose a character to begin the game. All characters start at level 1 and initially level up through very simple introductory quests designed to teach the player about the game. These quests take a few minutes to complete and will give a new player an idea of how to move, control their character and other simple concepts. At level 10 a character can choose a specific first class related to the character they chose. A 'Lance' character can become an Explorer, Hunter or Swordsman. A 'Carsise' character can become a Swordsman. A 'Phyllis' character can become a Hunter, Herbalist, or Explorer. An 'Ami' character can become an Herbalist or Explorer.
Starting at level 15, a player may purchase a ship with which they may sail on the water. Certain elements of the game can only be accessed in this way.
The game is based on the adventures of Lance, a human raised by demons, Phyllis, a girl with a shortened lifespan (which does not affect gameplay), Ami, a young little girl that does not age, and Carsise, a half-demon. The world they live in is made up of multiple continents and islands in which they travel by foot or by ship, killing monsters and other obstacles in their way with a wide variety of weapons.
